Michaela Cruickshanks - Certified Labor Doula, Certified Childbirth Educator and Certified Fertility Awareness Educator
Be prepared for your upcoming labor and birth. In this 2 hour in-person workshop, we will learn ways to cope with all stages of labor. This is a fun, high-energy, interactive workshop that teaches many techniques and tips for journeying through labor more comfortably. Whether or not you plan to labor with or without medication, this workshop is guaranteed to give you (and your partner/labor support person) practical tools to use to make labor and birth easier.
Cost - $45/per couple
Get the quick run-down on all things baby & postpartum recovery for parents!
In this 3 hour module, we will learn the basics of newborn comfort, newborn sleep & care, swaddling, and more. We also discuss the importance of a women’s emotional and physical changes in the days and weeks after birth. We understand how different this can look for each person, but also how parents can create a postpartum plan to ensure that you are able to enjoy this time by understanding what to expect and how to prepare your home, your family and yourselves.
This is a fun, high-energy, interactive workshop that teaches countless tips and tricks for early babyhood. This class is guaranteed to give you (and your partner) practical tools to make parenting easier.
Cost - 65/per couple
Our childbirth COMPLETE is 6 hours of learning, allowing you dedicated time for you both to begin the process of preparation, connecting with your partner, and enjoying getting connected with other expectant couples.
Includes - Comfort Measures Bootcamp - techniques for partners to explore non-medical pain relief options together.
Dates - Thursdays, September 19th and 26th (6:00-9:00 pm)
Cost = 120/per couple
This 3 hour class will give parents-to-be knowledge of what to expect in childbirth and introduce you to birth through the eyes of a doula.
Limited to 5 couples (to keep social distance)
Topics include:
How it begins and navigating early labor together
The stages of labor and strategies for each unique part
How hormones play a role in your labor/birth
The GPS of Birth
When to go to the hospital and what happens when you’re there
Medical pain relief options (Comfort Measures Bootcamp provides non-medical techniques)
Communication with your partner and your medical team
Interventions, options, and alternatives
