Going into labor, there are a lot of misconceptions about how to properly push to deliver a baby.We see representations on TV and in movies that can subconsciously guide how we move and react. As pregnancy and postpartum experts, we have better evidence and understanding of how to protect your body during labor. When we learn how to push correctly, we can reduce the risk of severe tearing in the perineum and damage to the pelvic floor. In addition, we can learn how to push more effectively with correct muscle activation. This workshop is designed to teach pregnant women (ideally in 2nd or 3rd trimesters) how to engage core and pelvic floor muscles correctly to push during labor.
